Product appearance:

The product is as-cast metal with clean surface and no visible inclusions and oxide falling off powder. The new section is silver gray.

Basic product characteristics:

Neodymium is a silver-white metal with a melting point of 1050 C, a boiling point of 3027 C and a relative density of 7.004. Neodymium has two crystal structures: hexagonal (room temperature to 868 degrees C) and body-centered cubic (over 868 degrees C).

 

Product uses:

1. The largest user of metal neodymium is NdFeB permanent magnet material. The advent of Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets has injected new vitality and vitality into the field of rare earth high-tech. Nd-Fe-B magnet is called "the king of permanent magnets" because of its high magnetic energy product. It is widely used in electronics, machinery and other industries for its excellent performance.

2. Neodymium is also used in nonferrous metals. Adding 1.5-2.5% neodymium to magnesium or aluminium alloys can improve the high temperature properties, gas tightness and corrosion resistance of the alloys, which are widely used as aerospace materials.

3. Nd-doped yttrium aluminium garnet produces short-wave laser beams, which are widely used in the welding and cutting of thin materials with thickness less than 10 mm in industry. In medical treatment, Nd-doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet Laser is used to remove surgical wounds or disinfect wounds instead of scalpel.

4. Neodymium is also used for coloring glass and ceramics and additives for rubber products.
